Hussain Rasheed: A journey built on passion, learning & leadership

For Hussain Rasheed, coaching was never just about standing on the sidelines. It was about learning the game deeply, growing through experience, and building a path step by step.

His coaching journey officially began in 2020 after completing the AFC Football Coaching Course. What started as a new chapter quickly became a continuous journey of development, discipline, and ambition.

Soon after earning his qualification, Hussain Rasheed joined a resort team as an Assistant Coach, working alongside experienced coaches Isma and Naseem (Nasama). Over the next three years, he gained valuable experience, learning the demands of competitive futsal and understanding the importance of teamwork, preparation, and leadership.

Those years also brought success. As part of the coaching staff, he celebrated two gold medal victories, important milestones that helped shape his confidence and coaching philosophy.

In 2023, Hussain Rasheed stepped into a bigger role, taking charge as Head Coach of Kandima Maldives in another resort competition. It was a season that tested his leadership and tactical abilities, and under his guidance, Kandima Maldives finished as runners-up, a proud achievement in his growing coaching career.

The following chapter came with Varu by Atmosphere, where he coached from 2024 to 2025. During the 2025 season, the team reached the Resort League North Male Zone Finals, adding another memorable accomplishment to his journey.

Never satisfied with standing still, Hussain Rasheed continued investing in his education and growth as a coach. In 2026, he completed the AFC Futsal Coaching Course in Malaysia, expanding his knowledge of the modern futsal game and strengthening his tactical understanding even further.

Alongside his coaching journey, Hussain Rasheed has also built a strong professional career within the tourism industry. He joined Kandima Maldives in 2017 as a Security Supervisor, serving in the role until 2019. From 2019 to 2022, he worked as Security Assistant Manager at Kandima Maldives before being promoted to Security Manager, a position he held until November 2023.

From 2023 to 2025, he continued his leadership journey as Security Manager at Varu by Atmosphere. In 2025, he joined OZEN Reserve Bolifushi as Security Manager, continuing to build his professional career within the tourism industry.

With years of dedication, continuous learning, and valuable experience gained both professionally and in futsal, Hussain Rasheed continues to build his journey within the tourism industry futsal scene.
