Resort League 2026 North Male Zone Set for Semi-Final Showdowns

The Resort League 2026 North Male Zone has reached its Semi-Final stage, with Bandos Maldives, Sangeli, Baros Maldives and Patina Maldives, Fari Islands remaining in the race for the title.

Both matches will be played on 1st October 2026 at Bandos Maldives. Sangeli face Bandos at 16:00, followed by Baros against Patina at 17:00.

The final four brings together two former champions and two teams with the opportunity to reach the North Male Zone Final for the first time.

Four Teams Emerge from the Quarter Finals

Bandos secured their place with a 2–0 victory over Hilton, with #7 Ahmed Shamaal named Man of the Match.

Sangeli advanced following a 5–2 win over Summer Island, where #4 Abdulla Zameen earned the Man of the Match award.

Patina continued their run with a 4–1 victory over Oaga Art Resort, with #6 Maadhih Wajeeh named Man of the Match.

Completing the Semi-Final line-up were Baros, who defeated Joy Island 1–0, with #21 Hassan Saleem receiving the Man of the Match award.

Sangeli vs Bandos - 16:00

The opening Semi-Final puts Sangeli up against the most successful team in North Male Zone history.

Bandos won the first four editions from 2013 to 2016 and returned to the top in 2024, giving them a record five North Male Zone titles.

This year carries another dimension for Bandos, with the five-time champions competing on their home ground.

Sangeli arrive at this stage after an impressive Quarter-Final performance against Summer Island. They are yet to feature in a North Male Zone Final, meaning victory over Bandos would secure a first-ever Final appearance.

Baros vs Patina - 17:00

The second Semi-Final sees 2022 champions Baros Maldives meet Patina Maldives, Fari Islands.

Baros progressed through a tightly contested Quarter-Final against Joy Island, winning 1–0 to continue their pursuit of another North Male Zone title.

Patina's route into the final four came through a 4–1 win over Oaga Art Resort. Having already made their mark during this year's tournament, they now have the opportunity to reach the North Male Zone Final for the first time.

Two Places Remain

The Semi-Finals present a clear contrast in North Male Zone history. Bandos and Baros have both experienced championship success, while Sangeli and Patina are looking to break new ground.

On 1st October, that field of four will become two, setting the stage for the Resort League 2026 North Male Zone Final.
