Patina Maldives, Fari Islands First to Qualify for North Male Zone Quarter Finals

Patina Maldives, Fari Islands have become the first team to qualify for the Quarter Finals of the Resort League 2026 North Male Zone, securing top spot in Group D with victories in both of their matches.

Patina opened their campaign on 17 September with a 1–0 victory over Hilton, before producing a commanding 6–0 win over Huvafen Fushi on 19 September.

The two victories gave Patina the maximum six points, completing their group stage without conceding a goal.

With only three teams in Group D, the qualification format differs from the other groups. The Group D winner advances directly to the Quarter Finals, while the second and third-placed teams face each other in a playoff for the remaining place.

Hilton and Huvafen Fushi still have one group match remaining, scheduled for 21 September 2026 at 17:00. The match will determine which team finishes second and third, but neither can overtake Patina’s six-point total.

Regardless of the result, Hilton and Huvafen Fushi will meet again in the playoff, with the winner advancing to the Quarter Finals.

Groups A, B and C each consist of four teams, with the top two teams from each group qualifying directly for the Quarter Finals.

For the teams finishing third and fourth, their Resort League 2026 North Male Zone journey will come to an end.

With their place in the last eight already secured, Patina Maldives, Fari Islands can now turn their attention to the knockout stage as the first confirmed Quarter Finalists of the North Male Zone.
