Angsana Velavaru ready for Resort League 2026 Dhaalu Zone kickoff

Preparations are progressing strongly at Angsana Velavaru ahead of the kickoff of Resort League 2026 Dhaalu Zone, according to General Manager Ahmed Zahir.

Speaking ahead of the upcoming season, Ahmed Zahir stated that the resort is fully committed to ensuring a successful hosting experience for both organizers and participating teams.

“Preparation is in full swing, and we are extremely excited about it. We are committed to ensuring that everything from our side is in place to support and ease both the organizers and participants throughout the league,” he said.

He also highlighted the strong atmosphere surrounding the team ahead of kickoff, praising the continued support from the resort’s passionate fanbase, known as the #OrangeArmy.

“The team spirit always remains very high. As you know, the #OrangeArmy and their supporters have never lacked enthusiasm and will continue to stay strong, regardless of the circumstances,” he added.

Looking ahead to the new season, Ahmed Zahir expressed confidence in both the hosting standards and the team’s ambitions on the court.

“We expect and hope this will be the best and most well-organized league in the zone so far. Naturally, we also expect our team to improve on the past two years’ performance and bring the trophy home,” he said.

While confirming that there have not been major changes to the squad, he noted that several players who missed the previous season are now available, including the return of Shaihaan to the team setup.

Ahmed Zahir also shared a message to supporters ahead of the season opener, calling on fans to continue backing the team as they push for another successful campaign.

“Continue backing the team just as you have since the very first league. Remain the best supporters in the region, if not the entire Maldives. This time, we need you more than ever as we aim to secure the trophy for the third consecutive year,” he said.
